Dilution is the most common method used to adulterate urine. Substances such as bleach, vinegar, Visine, Drano, sodium bicarbonate, soft drinks or hydrogen peroxide may be added to the urine. Creatinine and pH tests performed by the teststrips will detect this form of adulteration. The glutaraldehyde component of the test will screen for the use of commercially-available adulterants (eg "Instant Clean Add-It-Ive" and "UrinAid").
